The October Minnesota Valley NOW meeting will be held at 7:00 p.m. at the Prior Lake Public Library on Thursday, October 22, 2009. The library is located at 16210 Eagle Creek Ave SE in Prior Lake.
We will have a short business meeting from 7:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., including election of officers. Become a member of the leadership! Any MN Valley NOW member can run for office and self-nominations are encouraged. All offices are up for re-election: President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer, State Board Delegates (2), State Board Alternates (2)
Our program will begin at 7:30 p.m. Our guest speaker, Susan Strauss, RN, Ed.D, of Strauss Consulting, will present information from her research on bullying in the workplace and sexual harassment issues. Dr. Strauss is a nationally recognized expert in the field and provides customized services to help organizations create positive changes in their workplaces and schools. Dr. Strauss works closely with clients to educate, develop policies, investigate incidents, and counsel repeat offenders, resulting in diminished harassment and more respectful work and school environments.
